It is essential a car is rid of contaminants prior to installing PPF, which is particularly relevant to used vehicles; one-stage machine polishing will be necessary to smoothen the paint work and get rid of swirl marks. Saying that, brand new cars can also benefit from detailing, in particular ceramic coating.
Deep Clean
Whichever detailing package you select, we will undertake a deep cleaning of your car before anything else. This includes the following:
- Deep outer clean using pH neutral shampoo, tar remover, iron decontaminator to panels and wheel, re-foam using the 2 bucket method
- Exterior metal work polished including exhaust tip
- Exterior trims, doors seals and tyres dressed
- Clay barring

MACHINE POLISH
Depending on the state of the paint work, we will advise on how many stages of machine polishing is necessary to restore your paint work to a like-new state. On new cars, we may advise a single-stage polish to get rid of possible manufacturer’s paint defects. For used cars, 2 or 3 stages may be required to rectify the paint work. Machine polishing can be a delicate process, which should be carried out by professional detailers. We use a variety of different polishing pads and compounds, adjusting the speed and pressure to achieve a highly polished finish.
Detailing Info
Machine polishing is a process used in car detailing to remove surface imperfections and enhance the gloss and clarity of a vehicle’s paintwork. The machine polisher rotates a polishing pad at high speed, allowing the abrasive compounds to break down and remove fine scratches, swirl marks, and other defects in the paint, sometimes present from the factory. This process creates a smoother, more even surface that reflects light more uniformly, resulting in a brighter, more vibrant finish.

ceramic coating
Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer applied to external paintwork to create a durable protective layer. It enhances the appearance of a vehicle, protects it from external contaminants and makes it easier to clean. It is highly effective at repelling water, dirt and other
contaminants, and can help prevent scratches and swirl marks on the paintwork. It also provides a high level of UV protection against fading and discolouration of the paintwork.
Applied by our professional detailers using the correct techniques, ceramic coatings must be allowed to cure for a minimum period of 6 hours. Once cured, they provide a durable protective layer that will last for several years, depending on the product type selected.
