CASE STUDY

Monster Energy F1 Car Wrap

Without a doubt, the most challenging design setup and graphics install Joyce Design has done to date! Professional drift and stunt driver Buttsy Butler, together with Heritage F1, Monster Energy and 3M came up with concept graphics for an F1 car that would be transformed into a drift car…

They supplied us with the artwork pattern for the base wrap and a photoshop rendition of the final product. Bringing a flat image to a hugely complex F1 car that has so many curves and recesses and air vents was a labour of love! This car doesn’t come with a schematic to help us with measurements and shapes, so every inch of the vehicle had to be templated and graphics tested before the application of the vinyl. We only had the car at our premises for a very short time, so our senior designer spent 24 solid hours templating and setting up the files ready for print. The install then took Joyce Design’s expert 3M Authorised Vehicle Wrappers a total of 84 hours executed in 3 working days! The result was absolutely stunning.

CASE STUDY

Sir Peter Blake Piano

This is the perfect example of what Joyce Design can achieve: we were approached by British artists Rob & Nick Carter on behalf of London’s infamous Groucho Club to pay tribute to one of their most revered customers Sir Peter Blake. They wanted to pay homage to Britain’s best-known Pop Artist by wrapping the Club’s piano as part of his 80th birthday celebrations.

The brief was to use his art and create a piece of artwork that included his major pieces in a coherent way. Once the art was collated and given to us in the strictest confidentiality, the challenge was not only to make justice to these insanely iconic graphics but also to ensure it would work on a 3D piano. After careful designing and templating, all parts were wrapped inside and out so that when the fall board is open for example, the artwork would still line up and appear seamless. Joyce Design then suggested to go a step further and offered to wrap the tables on the terrace area and use floor graphics to tie it all in.
