FAQ

Joyce Design employ a team of full-time fitters at our main premises in Chelmsford but operate a vast network of around 100 trusted installers throughout the UK. We have developed great relationships with these and in the same way that we train and grade our fitters internally to 3M Authorised standards, sub-contractors are graded and selected for specific graphics application according to their skill sets. All members of our install network have extensive experience of 3M film application and are trusted to deliver the highest standards in graphics install.

Joyce Design can install graphics anywhere in the UK providing adequate indoor premises are made available (clean and well-lit). We would advise if temperature-controlled environment is required, this may be the case for specialist wraps.

Joyce Design offer a 12-months warranty on all our work. As a 3M Platinum Select Partner, we also offer the exclusive and most comprehensive industry warranty the “3M MCS warranty”. 3M MCS (3M Matched Component System Warranty) ensures optimal quality of the finished product including the film, over laminate and printed matter (inks) through the entire warranty period. It gives you the assurance that all the components used in the production of the graphics have been matched and audited to achieve the highest performance, functionality and durability. Bespoke warranties are issued directly from 3M the manufacturer.

We understand turnaround times for fleet operators are crucial to get their vehicles on the road and working as quickly as possible. We will work with your schedule requirements to keep install time to a minimum by organising a team of multiple fitters to get the job done. Simple pre-cut graphics may only take 30 minutes per vehicle whereas part wraps graphics might need a full day to be completed. Install time will vary depending on the artwork and graphics coverage on the vehicle.

We employ a team of expert vehicle graphics designers who can either come up with a brand-new concept for your brand or we can replicate your existing designs to keep brand continuity on your vehicles. We recommend colour testing and supply of print samples to ensure we match your current graphics. We will always review the file setups to maximise vinyl yield, avoid film waste and speed up the graphics install.

A fleet account manager is allocated to your account and remains your single point of contact throughout the duration of the contract. They will guide you from design, through to production, install and beyond. Other members of our team will be fully briefed on the account always ensuring a seamless service.

We fully embrace the importance of corporate branding and pay particular attention to brand guidelines (fonts, pantone colours, logos etc). It is paramount to our business that we fully adhere to your corporate guidelines and deliver a high-quality fleet livery. As 3M Platinum Select Partners, we have demonstrated our ability to comply to the highest standards of print and application. Using 3M technically advanced films and following best practice for setting up kits for print, we maximise durability of the graphics on your vehicles. Our robust after sales process and dedicated account management means you can trust us to respond to your requirements quickly and effectively and therefore keeping your fleet looking as good as possible for as long as possible.

Joyce Design have developed an Accident Management Program to minimise downtime of vehicles. Once a design has been approved, we devise an inventory of all graphics parts that can be easily ordered by any accident repair centre. The files are ready for print and can be produced and dispatched in a timely manner.

We offer a non-PCV vinyl for your fleet livery. 3M Envision 48mC is a technologically advanced film that offers all the benefits of high-performance vinyl – durability, vibrancy in colours and ease of application – but without the environmental impact:

  • Phthalate free
  • No added chlorine or halogens
  • Manufactured with 58% less solvent
  • Made in part with bio-based materials
  • GreenGuard Gold certified

We marry up 3M Envision 48mC with our Latex printing technology using water-based, solvent-free inks. Please ask us for a cost on your fleet livery if you are interested in this greener option.

We have a very strict recycling policy in place (only central bins available) and have carefully selected an environmentally conscious local Waste Disposal company as a partner for the past 3 years. Green Recycling is at the forefront of waste disposal and recycling services, with 76% of the waste collected being fully recycled and a zero-landfill policy. Green Recycling is also investigating the possibility of recycling backing paper used with vinyl film, which has now become an industry-wide consideration. It is worth noting that the recycling plant for backing paper is located in Holland and would therefore involve high CO2 emissions getting the waste there…
